We use reflexive verbs to say that someone is doing something to or for themselves. In English we often imply the object. If I say "I wake up", you assume I mean myself and not my brother. In Spanish we do not make the assumption and use the reflexive pronouns myself (me), yourself (te), himself/herself (se), ourselves (nos) , yourselves/themselves (se). If you you use the informal vosotros form, yourselves would be (os).
